The Entrepreneurship Cell of VVM's Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao organised a one-day State level workshop on Practical Aspects of Intellectual Property Right.

The aim of the workshop was to provide basic skills on the practical aspects of intellectual property rights protection and enable participants to identify and evaluate the result of creation or invention of the appropriate intellectual property applicable in their field.

Chief guest for the inaugural session was general manager CIBA, Amey Karmali. Resource persons for the workshop were associate professor, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Rupal Raut Desai, and partner and patent attorney, Stratjuris Partners Pune, Priyanka Gupta and Deepak Pawar.

Kreeda Bharati Goa and Arogya Bharati Goa jointly celebrated International Women's Day at Vadenagar Higher Secondary School, Murgao.

Chief guest for the event was Shraddha Mulgaonkar Patil. The programme was conducted in two sessions. In first session Patil guided women on health issues after 35 years of age. Women also asked questions on menopause, deficiency of haemoglobin, breast cancer, pregnancy related issues, osteoporosis, etc.

The second session included games like dodge ball, chain making, passing the ball through cone, and putting a ball in a bucket.

Medals were awarded to the first three winning teams and participation certificates presented to all.

Anti-Sexual Harassment and Women's Cell of Goa Multi Faculty College (GMFC) Ponda celebrated International Women's Day. On the occasion, principal, Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al-Usmani assured students and staff of his complete support to the Women's Cell for any developmental programme.

The highlight of the celebration was a talk by Smitha Parsekar who was assisted by Pooja Gaude. In her talk on 'Health and Hygiene,' Parsekar explained why it is important for each woman to love herself as an individual. She also discussed various health risks that young women are particularly vulnerable to and shared preventive measures.

Students presented flowers to every female staff member while representatives of the students' council gave them wrist bands as a symbol of feminine unity and strength. This was followed by cutting the cake at the event.
