Orientation Programme held at GMFC

Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora organised an orientation programme for FY BCom and FY BCA students. The programme delivered a brief overview about the course structure and subjects, examination pattern, code of conduct, transport facility, library facility, etc. Students were also introduced to teachers.

At the orientation programme, principal, Shaikh Mohammad Parvez Al-Usmani welcomed the new students and stated that cultivating a genuine love for knowledge can help students travel the path of success. He stressed that the college will aim to provide students with high quality education which will help them perform well in the job market. Al-Usmani then explained the importance of maintaining discipline and insisted that students follow appropriate etiquette when interacting with classmates, teachers and other staff members. Students were informed about the code of conduct, the need to wear identity cards, respect peers and teachers, dress modestly, submit assignments on time, maintain the required attendance percentage, etc.

Director of physical education, Elroy Pinto, told students about the various sports related activities they can participate in. Librarian Ajit Faras acquainted students with the various facilities provided by the college. Coordinator of the NSS Unit gave an overview of the social service and social awareness activities undertaken by the NSS cell. The programme ended with a DST highlighting the various past activities and achievements of the college.
