Goa now has a lending library for toys with Khilonewala opening in Alto-Porvorim recently. The library is expected to be a boon for parents who are fed up of the daily demand for new toys from children. Parents can save huge money on toys and books which becomes useless once the child grows up.
Freedom from purchase of toys also means less clutter in the house and no more going to searching different stores for a fresh teddy bear or puzzle. "Every parent wants their kid to have the best toys to play with and sometimes these are too expensive. That is when we thought of bringing the franchise of Khilonewala here," said library owner, Neeraj Naik.
He explained that, the library has huge variety of educational, entertainment games and creative books. "More than 50 national and international brands like Little Tikes, Hape, Chicco, Fisher- Price, Leap Frog, Mattel, Skill-o-Fun, Funskool, Hot wheels etc. are available. Different variety of games like augmented reality, 3D games, strategy games, block games etc. will surely be popular among parent as well as child," he said.
The toys, games are sanitized to take care of hygiene. The library is looking at a target clientele of children between one- twelve. There are five types of packages for the young customers- silver, gold, diamond, Kohinoor and super Kohinoor costing about Rs 400 to Rs 800 per month. The toys will be delivered and collected from home.
Khilonewala has more than 60 franchisee centers in more than 40 cities all-India. More than 2,00,000 toys have been delivered by the lending library so far.
